BIOGRAPHY

Jerre Davidson’s glass sculpture explores the shifting rhythms of a particular space and she uses gestural shapes, light, shadow and reflection to capture these spatial rhythms. Recognized for her exceptional talent and innovative approach to glass art, Jerre Davidson has received numerous awards. Notably, she was honored with a first-place award of excellence in sculpture at the Canadian Society of Artists Exhibition. Her work transcends borders and been included in some of the most esteemed exhibitions and galleries around the world.

Jerre Davidson is a contemporary sculptor with a unique and captivating approach to working with glass. Her artistry revolves around the exploration of shifting rhythms within specific spaces. Through her sculptures, Jerre uses gestural shapes, the interplay of light and shadow, and the reflective qualities of glass to capture and convey these intricate spatial rhythms. Jerre’s journey as a glass artist has been enriched by her education and training at prestigious glass centers around the world. Some of the notable institutions where she honed her craft include Pilchuck in Washington, the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, and North Lands Creative Glass in Caithness, Scotland. Jerre Davidson operated for many years from her studio located in Southern Ontario, Canada where she continued to push the boundaries of what is possible with glass, capturing the ever-changing rhythms of space and translating them into mesmerizing sculptural forms. She has recently relocated back to her native Scotland.
